Restaurant Athen in Heppenheim

Was here for the first time. Very tasty gyros, good bifteki, good fries, very tasty tzatziki. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. The only thing that isn't really nice is the ambience. Not nicer 80s chic. Hell and the few pictures from Greece on the wall don't really make you a Greek as you usually know him. Aaaaber because there was delicious, obligatory ouzo on the house. For me a recommendation in Heppenheim if you want to eat good Greek food.

We were sent to this establishment to be able to enjoy a candlelight dinner with 3 courses including wine accompaniment on Valentine's Day. When we made our reservation known we were brought to the table and prepared for what was to come with the grumpy words "food for 22 euros per person and a glass of wine". A lonely tealight set the mood (I hope you can read the sarcasm here), we ordered a portion of grilled pepperoni as a starter, one main course each and two different wines. A word of praise from the neighboring table gave us some hope for the meal, but we were disappointed. The cook seemed to be very much in love himself. The salty taste was so strong that unfortunately the fine meat could no longer save the food. The first time I left something on my plate in a Greek restaurant ...

Our first port of call every time we go on vacation in Heppenheim. The food is always good and tasty, and the atmosphere, whether inside or outside, is very cozy. The landlords of our apartment and internet friends from the area, whom we have invited here, are also enthusiastic!

We were spontaneously there with a fairly large group. We were allowed to arrange the tables so that we could all sit together. The service was very attentive, friendly and competent. The food came as well as at the same time! And then it was also delicious! Top!

Very nice meal

Waited 1h 10min for an unevenly cooked steak “with champignons”, that apparently means one tiny mushroom cut in three slices. This dish costed 20.5 euros and lasted for four minutes.
